I grew up in what was, at the time, a 60+ year old house at the very edge of town, the son of avid do-it-yourselfers. I knew how to use most basic hand-tools correctly (and incorrectly) by middle school, and most power tools before high school.
I now have over 20 years of employment in a variety of roles of landscaping and construction. My early jobs during high school and college were all "hands-on" jobs, mostly in landscaping and property management. I graduated from NC State (GO PACK!) with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management and have spent the last decade working in commercial construction across the southeast. The roles I have filled have ranged from laborer and operator, to: foreman, quality inspector, and project manager.

I found most of the positions I held to be lucrative enough and even challenging enough, but few left me with a sense of fulfillment. In addition, work in my own community was rare. As an avid DIY-er, this severely hampered many of my own project efforts because I spent a lot of time out of town.
In 2025, in an effort to spend more time in the community I call home, I formed I-Dig-Holes LLC. It is my goal to use the knowledge I have gained and the skills I have developed to help my neighbors in Randolph and the surrounding counties make their dreams into realities. Won't you let me help you with yours?
